Chilli Furikake seasoning is a popular seaweed and sesame seasoning that Japanese traditionally add to rice, a popular product in Asian supermarket aisles.

Pacific Harvest’s mouth-watering Chilli furikake seasoning contains a blend of all three vegetable colours (red, green and brown – so you can eat the seaweed rainbow!) in one product, with a gently spiced Asian chilli, lovingly blended with natural MSG free flavouring.  It will add wonderful flavour and a boost of nutrient intensity to whatever you desire to sprinkle it on! Our furikake seasoning range is gluten and dairy free, and blended to preserve the magical flavour of traditional Japanese furikake.  We source local ingredients wherever possible.

How to use Chilli Furikake Seasoning:

Transform rice, roasted, blanched or raw vegetables, or try in savoury baking.  Use as a garnish on pasta or noodles or stir fries, salads, poke bowls, fish or chicken, soups …. the options are endless.  This is our starter jar – if you are converted – a super user, or run a cafe or restaurant consider our Chilli Furikake refill pack. The seaweeds in this Chilli Furikake Seasoning are tested for contaminants (ANZ Food Standards Code). All seaweed are ethically and sustainably sourced.

Blended & packed in New Zealand from imported and local ingredients.

Storage: Store furikake seasoning a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Please seal securely once opened to preserve freshness and keep moisture out as seaweeds are hygroscopic (they absorb moisture from the atmosphere around them).

Allergens: CONTAINS: Soy, Sesame. MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF: Crustacea, Fish (molluscs).

Warning: Contains naturally occurring iodine. Excessive consumption may exceed recommended daily dietary intakes which could have adverse effects.

Our journey with our furikake recipe: A few years back, our original recipe contained a refined sugar – we removed the sugar following customer feedback and customers told us they did not like the result!  Last year we ran a number of trials, experimented with stevia which did not work either. We finally settled on a new blend which contains a significantly smaller amount of sugar than the original recipe, and replaced the refined sugar with a raw sugar – just enough to carry the flavour.  There is still a significantly less amount of sugar in our furikake than any other seaweed seasoning we have compared ourselves to.  Thank you for your feedback which helps us to keep improving our products.
