Natural Sea Salts
Our range of natural sea salts has New Zealand organic sea salt at it’s core. Seaweeds offer a naturally salty flavour with increased mineral content than table salt, so sea salts infused with seaweeds can complement low sodium diets– adding greater mineral content as well as natural, plant based umami flavours. Kelp Salt is a great alternative to normal table salt as it is naturally iodised with the kelp which has a high iodine content.

Shop our range of edible red seaweeds like Nori (Karengo), Atlantic Dulse, Agar and Irish Moss. Red seaweds offer an excellent source of vegetarian protein, minerals, carbohydrates, anti-oxidants, enzymes and are generally high in dietary fibre. They are rich in Agar and carrageenan and have a positive potassium/sodium balance.
Green seaweeds grow closest to the shore-line in shallower waters and are most similar to land plants. They are rich in chlorophyl and offer a source of iron as well as iodine. Sea Lettuce makes a delicious, natural addition to meals for anyone suffering with anemia – use as a garnish or to add flavour and minerals during cooking.

Wild Harvested Seaweeds
Wild harvested seaweeds have been grown without human intervention, in their natural environment. There are a number of options for how seaweeds may be wild harvested which you can read about here. Over the years Pacific Harvest has developed a network of harvesters who work sustainably and ethically. Our seaweeds are air dried and all tested for contaminants. A wild harvested seaweed may often have a richer flavour but can be less consistent as they grow in a less controlled environment.
