What is Agar?

Agar is a plant based getting agent, derived from a red seaweeds species of the genus Gelidium.  Agar is a vegan or vegetarian substitute for gelatine and, we believe is easier to use than gelatine, as it sets at room temperature and stays firmer in warm weather.

What are the health benefits of Agar?

Agar is nutritious (contains magnesium, calcium, manganese and iron).  It contains no calories, sugar, fat, cholesterol and is low in sodium.  Research has shown it may be beneficial for weight loss, diabetes and digestive tract conditions.
